The Minister of Health has shared for public consultation a regulation amending the regulation on qualification courses for pharmacists.
The regulation introduces to the scope of qualification courses for pharmacists the issue of conducting a qualifying examination to exclude contraindications to the vaccination of an adult before the recommended preventive vaccination and the vaccination against COVID-19, which a pharmacist is authorised to carry out on the basis of Article 19, paragraph 5a, item 2 of the Act on the profession of pharmacist, and to carry out vaccinations for which a pharmacist is authorised on the basis of Article 19, paragraph 5b, item 1 of that Act (i.e. the recommended preventive vaccination and the vaccination against COVID-19).
Consequently, a pharmacist will be able to carry out recommended immunization and COVID-19 vaccination if he/she has taken a qualification course and obtained a document confirming the completion of this course.
Effective date - 14 days after publication.
